At Pi we make some bold claims about the robustness and lifespan of our products. We also have the evidence that back up these claims.

Above is a picture of a CRIUS V2 installed at a leisure centre in the UK. Installed 11 years ago, this CRIUS V2 still monitors and controls the chemistry of the free chlorine and pH in two of the leisure centre’s swimming pools with ease. Pi stopped manufacturing the CRIUS V2 in 2015. Despite this, Pi’s service engineers serviced this pool controller in June 2025 to re-program a relay. A relay is an on/off switch to send a signal to an external device, such as controlling an acid dosing pump for pH correction.
When speaking with Pi’s engineers, the pool manager said
“The analyser has been here longer than I have. It runs two of our pools and we are really happy with it.”
Pi now offers the AutoPool®4.0 pool controller that comes with patented MutoDrive® technology as standard. MutoDrive® controls the pool recirculation pump based on bather demand, resulting in much lower energy usage and costs. This is not the only application where Pi’s equipment has stood the test of time.
